The art is bold and untamed, created by Danish artists with special needs in Art on the Spectrum. Together, they are conquering new territories and stepping onto an international art scene. Kenneth Rasmussen stands armed with his knitting needles on the brink of his big breakthrough, when he receives an invitation of the kind, that usually goes to people like Picasso and Van Gogh. Mathias Iversen takes Japan by storm with his wondrous ink drawings and mysterious “keyhole creatures”. All in all, these are new times for outsider art made by artists with special needs —far beyond the boundaries of established institutions.
