INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR AND BY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES -

MILICA TOMOVIĆ - jury member of the seventeenth Belgrade International Film Festival for and by people with disabilities

Milica Tomović (1986 SFR Yugoslavia) graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 2011 with the omnibus film "October", which she made together with her classmates. The film was screened at festivals in Cottbus, Trieste, Sofia Film Meetings, Isola Cinema and others.

In 2016, her short film "Transition" had its international premiere at the festival in Locarno (Pardi di domani), immediately followed by the premiere in Toronto (Short Cuts). "Transition" won: a gold plaque in the Serbian short feature film selection at the Belgrade Film Festival, the Heart of Sarajevo Award for the best short film at the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Best Director Award at the International Short Film Festival in Cyprus and other awards.

She directed five episodes of the successful TV series "Morning Will Change Everything" in 2018 in Serbia.

In 2021, her debut feature film "Celty" had its world premiere at the Berlinale (Panorama selection) and achieved notable success on the world festival circuit (Heart of Sarajevo Award for Best Director - Sarajevo FF 2021, Jury Award; Taiwan Film Critics Association Award; Audience Award - Taipei IFF 2021; Standard Readers' Jury Award - Viennale 2021, Best feature film; Best production design; Best ensemble cast - Image et Nation Montreal 2021 and others).

In the same year, she directed three episodes of the TV mini-series "Block 27", which began broadcasting in early 2022, immediately attracting attention as the first teenage horror series produced in Serbia and sold to one of the leading independent film and television distributors, Beta Film.

She is currently in the production of the documentary film "This Witch Doesn't Burn" and is in the development of his second feature film called "Great Women".

Jelena Maksimović is a Serbian director, film editor and lecturer.

She completed her master's studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, and since 2015 she has been teaching at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade.
