The 15th BOSIFEST - Film Festival of People with Disabilities, which takes place from October 21 to 23 at the Yugoslav Cinematheque, was officially opened today.
The festival is held under the slogan "Wide open wings", and the 15th BOSIFEST was officially opened by the film "The Three of Us" by author Henja Brodbecker from Israel, who is also a guest of this year's festival.
12 films from all over the world, 12 incredible stories about the strength, will and steadfastness of people with disabilities, about combining creativity and the power of the human spirit with courage.

The hosts of the Yugoslav Archive, Ksenija Zelenović, deputy director, festival selector Dragan Nikolić, Tatjana Prijić, deputy commissioner for equality, and Biljana Barošević, assistant to the Minister of Labour, Employment of Veterans and Social Affairs, addressed those present.
Biljana Barošević, on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, Veterans and Social Affairs - Sector for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities, said:
One of the priorities of the Ministry of Labour, and above all the Sector for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities, is the protection of the rights and advancement of persons with disabilities. The best way to achieve equal opportunities for all citizens is certainly the affirmation of the artistic potential of people with disabilities, as well as enabling access to cultural content. Proceeding from the above, the Department for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities continuously supports the holding of BOSIFEST, a unique event with a tradition in the region. By organizing an event of this type, it contributes to the spread of inclusion, to informing the general public about the rights, position and needs of people with disabilities, but also to the acceptance of diversity and the breaking down of prejudices about them.
The members of the Bosifest 2024 jury are: directors Marko Grba Singh, Gorana Jovanović and Marko Nikolić.
The jury will award the prizes: the award for the best director, the award for the best screenplay, as well as special awards on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. at 6 p.m.
Exceptionally, tonight director and jury member Gorana Jovanović presented the Grand Prix award for the best film of BOSIFEST 2024 to director Henja Brodbeker for the film "The Three of Us".
The author of the film, Henja Brodbaker, greeted the audience and thanked them for the award.

Luka Papić graduated in film direction at the HFBK Academy of Arts in Hamburg, in the class of Angela Šanelek in 2016.
His docu-fiction film "Without" (63 min, 2022) won the jury prize for the best medium-length film at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, as well as the Grand Prix and the jury prize for the best editing at the Beldocs festival in Belgrade.
She graduated on the Master’s Desk for Film and Television Directing at Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
In 1998, her graduate film “Magic” received the awards for Best feature film and Bestdirector at the International Film Festivals. The film had screenings at numerous nationalfilm festivals, as well as in New York, Munich, Moscow, Kiev..
The 16th Belgrade International Film Festival of Persons with Disabilities
"BOSIFEST 2025"
will be held from October 20 to 22, 2025 at the Yugoslav Cinematheque.
Dragan Nikolić (1974) is a director, screenwriter and cinematographer of the documentary films POGREBNIK(2013), CAVIAR CONNECTION (2008) and NATIONAL PARK (2006), all three premiered at IDFA, the most important documentary film festival in the world. In addition, these films they were shown at over 80 other international festivals, with a total of 18 awards won.

The 16th BOSIFEST – Film Festival by and about Persons with Disabilities, taking place from October 20-22 at the Yugoslav Film Archive, was officially opened today.
As part of the festival’s accompanying program, panel discussion was organized on Tuesday, October 21, at the Yugoslav Film Archive, entitled “The impact of film on shaping attitudes toward people with disabilities”.
The 16th BOSIFEST - Belgrade International Film Festival of Persons with Disabilities ended with the awarding of awards to the best films in the Yugoslav Film Archive.
Darko Lungulov completed film studies at CCNY, New York, USA, and a Master's degree in dramaturgy at FDU.
He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Department of Dramaturgy at FDU.
In 2004, his documentary ESCAPE (2004) won the audience award at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
