The award winning director, Goran Radovanović, selector of the 9th Bosifest

After a successful cooperation and an excellent selection of films last year, once again we will have Goran Radovanović as the selector for the upcoming 9th Bosifest, that will take place on 10-12 October at the Sava Center.

Goran is one of the most successful and award-winning Serbian film authors, and is especially appreciated around the world as a top documentary director. 

As a screenwriter and director, he has signed over 20 documentary and feature films, which have won over 60 awards in both national and international festivals.

He was born in Belgrade in 1957. where he graduated in Art history in 1982 from the Faculty of Philosophy. From 1977 to 1980, he resides in Munich as a scholar of the Goethe Institute and attends the renowned HHF (University of Television and Film Munich). During that time, he works with the authors of the New German film (Reinhard Hauff, Herbert Vesely etc). Upon returning to Belgrade, he becomes a film critic ("Vidici (Views)", "Filmograph", Third program of Radio Belgrade) and from 1984, he starts working as a screenwriter and director for feature and documentary films.  As a visiting professor, he held many lectures in Universities: New York Tisch School, Texas University (Austin), Penn University (Philadelphia), Columbia College (Chicago), American University, Washington. 

Goran Radovanović's films have been shown in official programs of over 100 international festivals!

The special retrospectives of his documentary films were shown in Barcelona (2006 and 2007), Havana (2010) and Vienna (2011).

His latest feature film, "Enclave" (2015), has been screened with huge success and rewarded at festivals all over the world - from Mexico to Russia, and was especially commended by Nikita Mihalkov. The film was purchased for screenings in cinemas in Italy, Greece, Germany, Poland, Scandinavian countries, as well as in China, USA, Bulgaria and Austria. "Enclave" was, also, among the Oscar nominees for the best foreign language film.

Goran is currently shooting a documentary film dedicated to the cult film "WR: Misteries of the Organism" (1971) by Dušan Makavejev, entitled "Misteries of narrowness or a process in the cinema theatre".

He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Association of Film Artists of Serbia. He is, also, a professor of directing at EICTV, San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba.
